We teachers here in Central Falls, RI we were inspired by all the testimonies of young children all over the world who have been receiving the Holy Spirit. We too want the children to have an encounter with God. So we are having the children seek the Holy spirit as much as possible. May these children receive the best treasure the exists in this world which is an encounter with God himself!

"O FATHER MY FATHER"

Today we honored all of the fathers, brothers, and male figures in our lives. But most of all GOD who is our eternal father. How much I love thee....

"Perfect Attendance At the End of the Month"

We had a party for the kids at the end of the month. We had the lesson that day but we mostly danced and celebrated everyone that did a great job for the whole month.

This was the cake that we presented to the kids:

We gave out three types of prizes:

1.) Perfect Attendance Certificate for every kid that came all the Sundays in the month.

 The children that were honored were: 

Claudia, Marcos, Connor, Alicia, Bianca, Serena, Cassondra, Eduarda, Dayvon, and Allen!

2.) A GIFT for the child that performed well in class; along with a perfect attendance certificate.

"JESUS is our Super Hero"

For the first month of 2011 we created a big event for the kids for both Portuguese and Spanish services. Our party theme was "Jesus is a Super Hero". We wanted to tell the kids that spider man, batman, super man, and all other super heroes are great to read  about and pretend that we are them. But we all know that they are just pretend. WE wanted to let them know that Jesus is a HERO himself and that He is real. He can save people and help people in all sorts of problems! This was a great time!

"Isaac and Rebekah- Marriage"

So many things have changed through out the years; things like personal health, family values, and family structure. These days many people don't see the difference of being married or single. But the truth is that there is a reason marriage exists and why women exist! A great reason! The bible says that Adam's wife came from his side, one of his ribs. Women were made to be helpers. So many people think that being a helper is not good enough but it really shows how special we are. We were made to be smart, strong, and able to learn to do anything that we put our minds to. A marriage is a team effort and a marriage built from God is basically a team who's goal is to glorify God in their life. But of course there's nothing wrong with being single it's just common sense that two minds are better then one. To be a team that is successful one has to be the captain and the other has to be the co-captain. So what's so bad about being in a team especially a team built on God's foundations. It just spells out SUCCESS! Abraham when he saw that his son Issac was old enough he saw he needed a wife. A helper to guide him to glorify God after he died. And, he didn't want any woman because he knew that picking the right person could help you or brake you. So he sent his servant to look for the RIGHT woman for Issac. It's no different then picking your right friends.  Just watch the video of two of our helpers getting married. They will definitely will bring glory to GOD!

"An Example for All of Us"

 

Looking at the video really makes oneself reflect on what they do or don't do enough for Jesus.  Sometimes these type of videos are good to watch because even though we go to church and have given our lives to God we think that we are on the right path.  But we forget that we are children of God that lives in this world. This world has its own rules and laws. We also sometimes forget that even though we need to do things in order to live in this world; like going to work- everything comes from God. 

 Matthew 6- ²⁵ “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ²⁶ Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? ²⁷ Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life^[e]?

We all need to remember that God is right here next to me and you at this very moment! Let's not lose focus on the truth if we are a teacher for the bible school, a parent, or a student. "The Real World" is having a relationship with God in your life that you have right now. If we do this we will receive solutions, and positive results in every aspect of our lives. God wants to help us be more happy and have less stress; we just need to include Him in our life.

Now because of all the great things that God has done and will do for us WHAT CAN WE DO FOR HIM?

Encouraging the children to pray…

THE PRAYER

Prayer is a communion, a conversation with God. The teachers should teach the children to pray through example-always praying with a simple vocabulary, short sentences, and in an objective way. The moment of prayer should never be used to impose silence or restore. It’s necessary to prepare the children for the moment of prayer. 

Look for volunteers to pray. Avoid forcing a child to pray out loud. The best way is to suggest reasons for the prayer and letting the child praying using his/her own words. The child’s language or grammer shouldn’t be correcting during the prayer, because this may hinder them. The teacher should explain why they  should close their eyes abd bend their head and also tell the childen that the word “AMEN”means “So be it”; this way the child will better understanding of what they’re doing.

 

The Importance of Prayer by a Child (in Portuguese):

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.”  (Psalms 145:18,19)
