"If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:17-18
Yes, we need to pray and put everything in God's hands but sometimes we need to lend a hand to help fix a problem. This is what I wanted the kids to see. Yes, pray but there at times where you can make a BIG difference at that very moment.

"Happy and Merry NEW Christmas"
This month we learned about a PART of Christmas that no one talks about or even thinks about. Yes, Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It's very honorable to celebrate His birthday. But I wonder what He would say to us when we are celebrating His birthday. When he died for us on the cross, he did it for a BIG reason! He did it, so we can be SAVED! And, how can we be saved? Besides the the precious blood that Jesus shed.
JOHN 3:5: Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
There are three different types of births-
His whole ministry (life) was to do His best to get as many people into the Kingdom of God. So, I wonder if He would really rather us focus on JOHN 3-5 or celebrate His birthday? I am sure he is very appreciative but what about JOHN 3-5?
You see, when a person receives the Holy Spirit they are reborn into Spirit. Meaning that they don't act based on what their body feels or is. They are/act based in what God's Spirit tell them they are, God's children. And, as God's children they all have Jesus characteristics (the fruits of the Spirit) and no longer of their parents/ancestors/social surroundings characteristics.
NOTE: Ones personality doesn't change.
Receiving the Holy Spirit is something that can take place every single day. God's birth in you is what I believe Jesus would rather us to focus on and work hard for. Remember, how selfless He was? I cannot imagine Him being anything less NOW.
Speaking for myself, I am going to see everyday as the "NEW" Christmas!

"Happy Thanksgiving"
During the 4 weeks of learning how to have an attitude of graditute, we had a Thanksgiving lunch with all the kids in the church. We all had a great time.

Cape Verdean Dance
We never have danced this type of dance before. It was a challenge for the whole group as a whole. But it's proof that God will always provide if it is to glorify His name!
Psalm 54:4:But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!

There are three different types of births-
1.) When your mom gives birth to you
2.) When you convert and get baptized in the water. To wash away your past and making you a new person
(as a whole).
3.) When you are reborn in Spirit. This is when you receive the Holy Spirit.

What WE learned in November:
1.) To be thankful for what we have because even the small things that we take for grated
are really blessings
2.) Be thankful for even toward the things we do have but don't like. For example
homework
3.) If we are thankful for something we need to learn to show it
4.) We should always be thankful in all circumstances.
Galatians 6:9--Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Kids never never give up because you will receive what you need or want just in due time! Okay?
I pray that you simply understand that all that you asked for from God is right at your finger tips so why give up? I am so happy I NEVER gave up. If I think about if I gave up I can only see tears and self pity because I just was not able to hold on longer. I know you don't want to regret that YOU gave up. So let's learn from this runner that you just can't give up because your dream can be just at your finger tips! ~~~ YOU NEVER KNOW~~~
"Pre-Teens God Wouldn't Change Anything About You!"
~~Listen to this song:
God knows each one of us by our NAME! He knows who we try to be and who we really are! He loves us like this because he's our Father.
If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10
On Family day some of our Pre-Teens helped the Teachers and Stephine (youth group leader) and myself. All the children had fun and so did they! I am very pleased on these few helpers! You know who you are. :)
